“All of a sudden, I turn my head as I’m driving, and you just see it coming down on my car and hitting my car, and I thought for sure that I’m not going to make it. I saw my life flash before me,” Jenna Krell described.
The married mother of four is now at home recovering from the terrifying incident.
It all unfolded while she was driving on McBean Parkway near Magic Mountain Parkway on Friday. Powerful winds were blowing when a massive tree uprooted and crashed down on the roadway, landing right on top of her minivan.
The windshield cracked, and shattered glass rained down on her.
“I was in shock. All these people came to my car and they were like helping me get out of my car. They were pulling me out,” Krell recalled.
She was hospitalized for treatment.
“I’m in pain. My whole back is throbbing. I can’t get comfortable. I keep thinking about everything that’s happened the last few days,” she described.

Krell was on the way to pick up one of her sons from school when the tree fell on her vehicle. The soccer mom says she almost always has her kids and their friends in her vehicle.
She’s grateful that no children were in the minivan at the time of the incident.
Her husband Brett, a nurse, rushed to her side at the hospital.
“My wife does everything for the six of us. I wouldn’t know what to do without her,” he said.
Krell says she is grateful to the rescuers, doctors and nurses who treated her. She says it will take time to recover from the shock of what happened.
“I am just so grateful that I can be here with my family. I’ve got these aches and pains but I’m glad I’m here and alive,” she said.
