ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) — Police officers in tactical gear took a naked man into custody after a standoff in Anaheim on Sunday. Officials said the man is a documented gang member.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, it started at 12:10 p.m. at the Casa Bonita Apartments on North Gilbert Street.
Police were looking for a vandalism suspect wanted for reportedly breaking car windows. The man ran from officers and hid in the apartment complex, and that’s when the SWAT team was called, police said.

Residents reported seeing a large law enforcement presence in the neighborhood.
AIR7 video from around 4:30 p.m. shows the man coming out of the building, surrendering without incident. The man was not dressed as officers in tactical gear took him into custody.
Anaheim police described the suspect as a documented gang member from Santa Ana, who lives in Anaheim. He reportedly also had a narcotics-related warrant.
