LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) — A brush fire burning in the Lancaster area has prompted evacuation warnings for some residents Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the blaze, dubbed the Calvin Fire, at approximately 1:38 p.m.
The fire has scorched 75 acres as firefighters worked to contain its spread. No injuries or structures threatened were immediately reported.
An evacuation warning was issued for the area north of West Avenue D, east of West Avenue B8, south of West Avenue A and west of Sierra Highway.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Fire crews remained at the scene.
