GLENDALE, Calif. — Crews are battling a brush fire that broke out on a hillside in Glendale Thursday afternoon, tearing through one home and threatening others.

The fire was burning near the 2 Freeway, leading to the California Highway Patrol shutting down several lanes.
The latest update from the Los Angeles Fire Department was that the fire had scorched at least one acre as it burned uphill toward Palmer Drive.

Video from AIR7 showed one home engulfed in flamed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
