HOLLYWOOD (KABC) — A man was shot to death at an apartment building in Hollywood overnight, and police are searching for a suspect.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting on Lanewood Avenue near Sunset Boulevard around 2 a.m. Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Details about the incident were limited, but officers found the victim, only identified as a man in his 30s, dead at the scene.
Detectives said they don’t know if the victim lived there, but they don’t believe the shooting was random.

Residents of the complex say they heard four gunshots, but detectives don’t believe any of them witnessed the shooting.
Others who live in the area were shocked to learn about the shooting, saying it’s not something that they’re used to.
“That’s crazy… shocking, you know. The only thing (that I’ve seen) in this neighborhood is the crazy traffic for In-N-Out but I never heard of any crime or robbery,” said Hollywood resident Oscar Lemus.

Meanwhile, no suspects have been arrested and a description was not available.
