HYDE PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Two people were killed and four others injured in a multi-vehicle crash Friday morning in the Hyde Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles, authorities said.

The crash was reported about 10:45 a.m. at the intersection of 77th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard, just west of the Inglewood Park Cemetery.

Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters and paramedics and LAPD officers responded to the scene, where two people were pronounced dead.

“4 patients are confirmed at this time and are being medically evaluated and prepared for transport,” the LAFD said in a statement, adding that no one was trapped in any of the vehicles. The patients’ individual conditions were unclear.

The cause of the pileup was under investigation.
