SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. (KABC) — Newly released video shows a wild police chase in Sacramento County involving a man accused of driving off in a stolen patrol vehicle.

The incident began when a caller reported that a homeless man threw a bucket at her car and chased her with a stick, police said.
Officers responded and attempted to detain the man, but he escaped and drove away in a marked police cruiser, authorities said. The California Highway Patrol later took over the pursuit and eventually got the driver to pull over and surrender.
