NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A stabbing suspect was taken into custody following a standoff with police in Northridge, which forced residents in the neighborhood to evacuate Friday morning.

The incident unfolded around 2 a.m. when police were called to a home on Wystone Avenue over a family dispute, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A victim police described as a brother was stabbed. They were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.

The suspect then barricaded himself inside and homes nearby were evacuated. It’s unclear what their relationship to the victim is.
