BURBANK, Calif. (CNS) — A 69-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of lewd conduct for allegedly secretly photographing female patrons at the Burbank Empire Center, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched about 4 p.m. Saturday to a store at the shopping center regarding a suspicious man photographing female patrons, said Burbank Police Department Lt. Brent Fekety.
“Upon arrival, officers contacted a store employee, who saw the suspect follow female patrons throughout the store and use an electronic device to secretly take photographs of them under their clothing without their knowledge or consent,” Fekety said.
Officers located Alfred Hernandez as he exited the store, Fekety said. The officers also identified two women, ages 48 and 52, as alleged victims.

The San Fernando resident was arrested on suspicion of lewd conduct, which is a misdemeanor, he said.
“Formal charges are pending review by the Burbank City Attorney’s Office,” Fekety said. “This investigation remains ongoing and detectives believe there may be additional victims who have yet to be identified.”
