(KABC) &#8212; <\/span>A brush fire in Stevenson Ranch threatened homes and temporarily prompted an evacuation order late Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/orangecountymoversreport.com\/?p=988\">B-52 bomber crashes after takeoff from Edwards Air Force Base, officials say<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The blaze, dubbed the Max Fire, was reported at about 4:20 p.m. in the area of Magnolia Lane and Autumn Place, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The LAFD also assisted in battling the blaze.<\/p>\n<p>Amid hot temperatures, the blaze quickly grew from a quarter acre in size to more than 30 acres.<\/p>\n<p>Crews stopped forward progress of the fire at 45 acres just before 6:30 p.m., according to the L.A.
