MID-WILSHIRE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — <\/span>A high school in the Mid-Wilshire area was on lockdown Wednesday morning after a road-rage incident led to an armed juvenile threatening a victim with a gun, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Officers responded at 8:15 a.m. to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at Los Angeles High School at 4650 West Olympic Blvd., just east of Rimpau Boulevard, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said.<\/p>\n

After the road-rage confrontation, the suspect allegedly ran onto the campus and discarded the firearm somewhere on the premises, the LAPD said.<\/p>\n

Police apprehended the suspect, a student at the school, and asked that the campus be placed on lockdown as the search for the gun continued, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
