(KABC) &#8212; <\/span>Two women are dead after they were hit by a driver in the Stanton area of Orange County.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/orangecountymoversreport.com\/?p=691\">Election Day updates: Voters to cast ballots in competitive races for LA mayor, CA governor and more<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The incident happened around 9 p.m. Monday on Cerritos Avenue near Magnolia Avenue, according to the Orange County Sheriff&#8217;s Department.<\/p>\n<p>Screeching tires and a car horn could be heard on surveillance video from a nearby home but details about what led up to the collision were not available.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/orangecountymoversreport.com\/?p=689\">Frontrunners for California governor make last-minute campaign stops in SoCal<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Deputies who responded found two injured pedestrians, a woman in her 30s and another woman in her 60s, at the scene. They were both taken to the hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The driver involved in the deadly crash stayed on scene and was said to be cooperating with authorities.
