(KABC) &#8212; <\/span>Newly-released video captured the moment police in Oxnard opened fire on a machete-wielding man inside of a restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/orangecountymoversreport.com\/?p=216\">Over 150 quakes, including 4.5 magnitude, rattle Imperial County during reported earthquake swarm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The incident unfolded April 20 after officers responded to calls about a man swinging a machete in the area of Saviers and Pleasant Valley roads. When they arrived, they encountered the suspect, identified as Anastacio Meneses, inside the restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Police say several people were evacuated from the restaurant, but two employees were not able to get out.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><svg><\/svg><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span><span><span>Police are investigating after officers shot a man wielding a machete Monday afternoon in Oxnard.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Footage from inside the restaurant shows the suspect grabbing the machete, lifting up a table and start to approach the officers. They fired more shots and then sent in a K-9 to pull the man out. He was then taken into custody.<\/p>\n<p>The police dog was struck by the machete, but has recovered and is back on duty.
