GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) — An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed by police officers in Glendale.

The incident unfolded around 9 p.m. Monday night on Honolulu Avenue near the 210 Freeway after officers responded to a call for service, according to the Glendale Police Department. Details about that call were not available.

Shortly after officers arrived, some type of dispute took place and they opened fire on a man described as a suspect. That man, who has not been identified, died at the scene.

Investigators remained at the scene throughout the night collecting evidence. It’s unclear what exactly led up to the shooting.
