LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A single-story house fire near Reseda Thursday turned into a crime scene after a man was found inside with a firearm.

The Los Angeles Fire Department says crews arrived at the burning home in the 18300 block of W. Friar Street around 12:30 p.m. to find a man with a gun.
Firefighters quickly put out the flames and secured a gun laying next to the man. Police are now investigating.

The fire department said the man was treated on scene by LAFD paramedics before being rushed to the hospital in grave condition.
No one else was hurt.
