NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Evacuations were underway in a North Hollywood neighborhood Wednesday morning after the LAPD responded to a report of explosives found at a home, authorities said.

A caller reported the discovery at 9:10 a.m. in the 6100 block of Rhodes Avenue, between the 170 Freeway and Whitsett Avenue, according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Responding officers were asking residents in the immediate area to evacuate, the spokesperson told ABC7.

The LAPD bomb squad was summoned to the scene as part of the investigation. Additional details about the possible explosives were not immediately available.

No known threats were associated with the reporting call, and no injuries were reported, according to authorities.
