SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. (KABC) — A motorcyclist was killed in a car crash Tuesday morning at an intersection in Sherman Oaks, authorities said.

The motorcycle and the sedan collided shortly after 6:30 a.m. at Ventura Boulevard and Woodman Avenue, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The unidentified motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

A car passenger was transported to a hospital in unknown condition, the LAPD spokesperson said.

Video from AIR7 showed a white privacy canopy set up alongside the sedan and the motorcycle, which was overturned onto its side near the car’s front right panel.

The cause of the collision was under investigation.
