SUNLAND, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Two firefighters suffered minor injuries after a fire truck overturned and landed on a sidewalk Tuesday evening, authorities said.

The accident was reported at about 6:45 p.m. at 10500 N. Mcvine Ave., just south of Foothill Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Aerial footage from AIR7 showed a fire engine on its side near an H&R Block building, partially on top of a crushed car. It’s unclear if the building sustained significant damage.

The crash occurred as firefighters were responding to a structure fire, according to fire officials.

The two injured firefighters were taken to a hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported, the department said.

It’s unclear what caused the crash.

LAFD said it is not releasing the names of the firefighters until their families have been notified.
