TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. (KABC) — A house explosion in Twentynine Palms left one person dead, injured two others and destroyed the home.

The explosion happened Friday night and was captured on newly released video, which shows the house erupting into a massive fireball. Three people and a dog were inside the home at the time of the blast.

Several Marines from a nearby base were among the first to respond after hearing the explosion. They rushed to the scene and pulled the victims from the rubble.

One victim was flown by helicopter to the nearest burn center. Another suffered moderate injuries. A third person died.

The dog survived the explosion.

The incident remains under investigation.
