Firefighters responded around 4:10 p.m. near West 90th Street West and West Avenue H in Antelope Acres to reports of a rapidly growing brush fire that initially burned 30 acres, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The Jarvis Fire quickly grew to about 362 acres before crews stopped forward progress of the blaze shortly after 6 p.m.

Evacuation warnings issued for two zones were later lifted. Crews continued working in the area.
