FAIRMONT, Calif. (KABC) — Los Angeles County firefighters are battling a fast-growing wildfire in the Fairmont area just north of Lake Hughes Thursday afternoon, leading to evacuation warnings.

The so-called Dora Fire was reported about 2:20 p.m. near West Avenue D and 210th Street West, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The blaze initially burned about 10 acres before spreading quickly. It has now scorched at least 850 acres, according to fire officials. It’s 0% contained.
The fire was reported at about 2:20 p.m. has been burning to the east, pushed mainly by winds in the area.

An evacuation warning has been issued for zone: LAC-E1641. To see if you’re affected, go to the Genasys Evacuation Map here.
As of 6:15 p.m., fire officials confirmed that the evacuation warnings had been lifted.

No injuries or damage to structures have been reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
