PACIFIC PALISADES, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A suspect who was being chased by police swam into the ocean off the coast of Pacific Palisades Thursday morning.

Officers in West Los Angeles were chasing the suspect, who was wanted on a felony warrant, on foot around 7:15 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

That suspect eventually made their way toward the water at Will Rogers State Beach and swam out in an attempt to evade police.

AIR7 was over the scene where the suspect could be seen floating in the water near who appeared to be two lifeguards on surfboards.
